Excellent produit, mais . . .

Le produit en soit fait le job, rien à redire. Gros bémol toutefois, le revendeur français facture 17,65€ pour une livraison à domicile , en fait encaisse les sous et fait livrer en point relais ! Grosse escroquerie et aucun retour de la part du fournisseur ! ! ! Alors méfiance où et avec qui vous achetez ! ! !

You don't need this, but you'll be SO HAPPY to have it!

I've been baking bread and making yogurt and buttermilk for decades. I have resisted buying a proofing box because I am careful in the duration of my kitchen appliances and gadgets. I figured, my oven with its light is doing a fine job. Why have one more clunky thing to store? Well, I didnt need the proofing box, but I had some birthday funds buying a hole in my pocket so I went for it. I am very happy I did. First if all, the proofer uses less electricity than my oven. Also, you can proof your dough without covering it. No more stuck dough on the reusable shower caps I use for dough covers! This has been a straight up revolutionary appliance for yogurt. No more over or under fermentation. I can set the temp and that's what it stays at. Furthermore, I can ferment the yogurt right in the jars and lids it will stay in.
So all and all, you totally can live your life, bake your bread, ferment your milk without this box. But having it is truly wonderful!

Great Accessory

While this is not a required item for making sourdough, it sure makes it a lot more fun. I don’t worry about maintaining temperature while proofing my dough and all of my breads have been coming out perfect!

The backbone of my breadmaking adventure

My first unit didn't work well at achieving the right temperature, so, I returned it, deciding to try other methods first before getting a replacement unit. After some adventures in experimentation giving unreliable results, I ordered a replacement unit. It works perfectly and I can't imagine my life without it. I couldn't be happier with the results. Customer service is exceptional.
