I bought this for my husband who bakes. He was very happy with how it worked. He made a brioche using it and I thought it came out particularly good. Seems to get the job done.
I love this new dough whisk. It is built sturdier than most and works great for stirring or whisking dough. It has a natural feel when holding it and the heavier build works well at mixing the dough.
Great tool, makes all the difference when you're doing a large batch of dough but don't want to bring out or don't have a stand mixer. Done as much as a 4 loaf sourdough recipe with this whisk and some elbow grease. Easy to clean as well considering the shape. Super sturdy and overall a fantastic tool if you're getting into baking a lot.
I had a wooden-handled Danish dough whisk from another vendor, and used it extensively for mixing sticky rye-bread doughs, but after two years the metal whisk detached irreversibly from the handle. Brod & Taylor's dough whisk is similar in design, but seems sturdier and is easier to clean. I've been using it for two or three months and am happy with my purchase.
This dough whisk is so much better than any other dough whisk I have ever used. It is so easy to clean, and great for mixing all kind of things. I love using it to make meatballs. The handle feels so nice and smooth. I keep a couple of extra ones around to give as gifts.
